To foster a love of learning by creating equal opportunities for acquiring new knowledge and skills through quality education that is learner centred.
 
To faithfully work in partnership with other community groups who have a vested interest in the regions social, cultural and economic development.

Active Training is a family owned business motivated by the desire to provide quality learning programmes, professional advice, support and encouragement to those within our community, who have low qualifications and face significant barriers to long-term employment or further tertiary education.
 
The Lee family has had more than 25 years experience working with youth within the local community, especially at risk youth.  Our focus has always been to lend a helping hand, encourage the young person to make right choices, and equip them with the tools that will enable them to become useful citizens who are able to make a worthwhile contribution to their community.
Active Training (Lee Ventures Limited) is registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as a Private Training Establishment.  Our role is to assist people to focus on a career goal and develop the skills required to secure sustainable employment.

Other stakeholders in our training establishment include the Tertiary Education Commission (funding arm of the Ministry of Education), Ministry of Education Work and Income New Zealand and local industry.
